Goodnight, Well It's Time To Go

words and music byChuck Berry
also known asBonsoir Cherie
also known asIt's Time To Goin Rock'n'Roll Poet (Isalee Music Publishing, USA, 1979)
The song 'Goodnight Well It's Time To Go' is an adaptation of 'Goodnite Sweetheart Goodnite' by The Spaniels written by Calvin Carter and James 'Pookie' Hudson. These are credited on the original Mercury release of the Berry recording just because of the opening line of two words, but Chuck’s song contains different lyrics than the original.
