In our research for "Blues With A Feeling: The Little Walter Story" we ran across an item in Billboard from May, 1957, which heralded the new studios at 2120 S. Michigan Ave. The facilities were known as Sheldon Studios, and were built and operated by a 22-year-old former employee of Universal Studios (Chicago) named Jack Weiner (BWAF p. 169) who "totally overhauled" the space to make it suitable for recording.
So it looks like the 'Schoolday' session (session 9 in LDI) was recorded at the old Cottage Grove studio not 2120 S.M.A.and the first Berry session at 2120 was May 1957 - the Rock And Roll Music session (10 in LDI)
